Server-Side Steps and Member Management
Since workspace-related functionality is handled server-side, all member and workspace management is done through a centralized system.
Server-Side Workspace Management
- Open the Manage Workspace Panel: After creating a workspace, you can access all workspace settings through the server-side dashboard.
- Create New Workspaces: From this dashboard, you can create and manage multiple workspaces.
- Invite New Members: You can send invitations to new members, assign roles, and set permissions directly from the server dashboard.
- Assign Roles and Permissions: You can assign roles like Owner, Admin, Editor, and Subscriber, ensuring the proper permissions are granted.
- Remove or Suspend Users: You can also manage user access by removing or suspending users from specific workspaces.
Role Management on Server Side
From the Manage Members section, you can:
- Assign the following roles:
- Owner: Full control of the workspace.
- Editor: Create and edit content, but cannot manage users or settings.
- Subscriber: View-only access with updates.
- Owner: Full control of the workspace.
Managing Workspace via Three-Dot Menu
After you have created a workspace and assigned the appropriate roles:
- Click the three-dot icon on the top-right corner of your workspace card.
- You will see options to:
- View the workspace.
- Delete the workspace (if you wish to remove it from your list).
- View the workspace.
Best Practices for Workspace Management
To maintain an organized and secure workspace:
- Assign roles based on responsibilities.
- Limit admin access to trusted users.
- Review member access regularly.
- Remove inactive users.
- Back up important templates, Widgets, and Snippets.
- Keep content organized using clear naming.
Benefits of Using Workspaces Effectively
Proper workspace management helps you:
- Improve team collaboration
- Protect sensitive resources
- Reduce errors
- Maintain version control
- Increase productivity
- Ensure smooth project workflows
In short, WDesignKit’s workspace system allows you to organize templates, widgets, code snippets, and team members in one centralized platform. By using roles, permissions, and content management tools properly, you can maintain a secure, efficient, and collaborative working environment.
Note: Each workspace functions independently, which means Templates, Widgets, and Snippets created in one workspace are not shared with others. You can create multiple workspaces to organize different clients, separate websites, or testing environments. All your workspaces can be easily managed either from the Dashboard or through the Top Menu → Workspace → Manage Workspace option.
Now, you can use the workspace system to organize your projects and collaborate more effectively with your team.
